well, this was defo the first of the autumn sessions, winter wetsuit and
all. Absolutely packed at Avon, arrived late after visiting with Juan, Gen
and team triplet. Rigged up 4m and 77l on seeing Carl returned knackered
with 4.5! Plenty of wind, very gusty, up to 41kn checked on beach, which is
sheltered in a SW at Avon.
Zoomed out, only to have a footstrap come unscrewed on first run, and
realisation that the harness lines were horrendously front-handed.
Spent 1.5 hours zooming in and out, did a couple of really great jumps,
very floaty, being over-powered helps. Never worked up the bottle for a
gybe - the wind was HUGE! Just being out there was an achievement, by the
time I was out most people were stopping. Just think how easy F6 will be
now... I rest happily in the knowledge that Roger T was overpowered on a
4.0, and would have rigged his 3.7 if he'd known, which makes me pretty ok!
